Marie Loomis

d. May 26, 2020

Alice Marie Loomis, daughter of Lester and Margaret (Marcgynski) Cole entered this world on November 1st, 1934 and entered her forever home on May 26, 2020 with family by her bedside. While growing up Marie helped in the family laundry business and taking care of her 3 younger brothers. Marie graduated from Mooreland High School with the class of 1953. Shortly after graduation she met the first love of her life J.C. Jackson. They were united in marriage in Buffalo, Oklahoma at the First Baptist Church on September 5, 1954, they were blessed with three children, Eddie, Denise and Michael. Marie enjoyed being a farm wife and cleaning homes for others. She cleaned homes until a 1 1/2 years ago when she was forced to retire for health reasons. Marie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Laverne, during that time she taught Sunday school to the 2 and 3 year old children for close to 40 years. Marie loved the fact that she taught multiple generations. During that time she also managed to have a perfect attendance for 26 years! After 43 years of marriage, she lost her husband J.C. in 1998.
Five years later she was lucky enough to marry Wesley Loomis the 2nd love of her life. For the next ten years Marie and Wes enjoyed going on Bus tours and just traveling in general. They took several spur of the moment trips, most of the time without telling anyone. That is until Marie started reading the maps "which was never a good idea". Then we would have to figure out where they were and go get them, and they only stopped traveling due to health reasons. Wes was a deacon of the Assembly of God Church of Laverne and Marie would teach Sunday school at the First Baptist Church, then go join Wes for church service, until her health forced her to retire from teaching Sunday school. Marie endured watching Wes succumb to dementia and cancer and took care of him until he entered his heavenly home. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Margaret, two brothers, Darrell Cole and Larry Cole, her two husbands J.C. Jackson and Wesley Loomis, and a son Leslie "Eddie".
Marie is survived by "The beloved one" Denise and husband Terry Clark of Higgins, Texas, her "Favorite daughter in love Marcie and husband Mike Jackson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, four grandchildren Ryan & Amy Clark of Blanco, Texas Tyler & Ashley Clark of Higgins, Texas, Corey Clark of Sapulpa, Oklahoma,  Jared Jackson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
