Margie Fae (Cotter) Hoffman, was born April 30, 1938 in Buffalo, Oklahoma, to Earl and Ethel (Miller) Cotter. Growing up with seven siblings. Margie attended 1st thru 8th grade at the rural school of Willard, and later graduated from Buffalo High School with the class of 1956. Margie and Harold Hoffman were united in marriage June 24, 1956, and to this union a son Steven and a daughter Sabrina were born. Margie spent most of the time raising a family before making her career at Oklahoma State Bank as a Bank Teller and later advancing to serve as a loan officer of the Bank. After retiring from the back after 20 years of service, she worked full time with Harold operating HPH Trucking for several years. After selling HPH Trucking, she provided accounting services for various local business and completed many tax returns for family and friends. Margie and Harold enjoyed traveling, camping at area lakes with their children Steven and Sabrina and taking many memorable vacations. They also made the trip to the World’s Fair in San Antonio, Texas in 1968, enjoyed the west coast while visiting family and went to Disneyland as a family. Margie was an avid sports and loyal OU fan. Margie and Harold celebrated 65 years of marriage and she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Buffalo. Margie went to her heavenly home November 22, 2021, and is preceded in death by two sisters - Earleen Boston and Margaret Kinney; three brothers - Eldon Cotter, Wiley Cotter, and Vernon Cotter; and her son Steven who passed away early last month. Family and friends will celebrate Margie & Steven’s memories later today at the Buffalo Alumni building.

Margie was a proud and doting grandparent to Sabin Hoffman, Sara Bible, Andy Keidel and Brian Keidel, and adored her Great-Grandkids Chloe, Sebastian, Jayda, Bridgette, Izayis, Amaya, and Rylan. Survived by her husband; Harold of Buffalo, Oklahoma, a daughter; Sabrina Keidel, of Lawrence, KS, a sister; Glenda Carr of California, and a brother; Bob Cotter of Liberal, KS, and many other relatives and friends. We cannot leave out the most important thing mom LOVED to visit and she never met a stranger she wouldn’t talk too!
