Leora Blanche (Black) Hurst, daughter of Ora and Lola (Walton) Black, was born on September 5, 1922, on the family farm in Harper County, Oklahoma.  Leora was raised and spent her childhood helping her parents and siblings on the family farm.  The highlight of Leora high school days was the Rosston Class of 1939 senior trip, in which Leora explored 7 states, 2200 miles, seeing many landmarks, in eight days.  Leora married Cecil R.
