Wilma lived 94 years in northwest Harper County. Her early education was at Prospect and Pioneer schools, which were one-room schoolhouses. After eighth grade, she went to Buffalo High School for two years, then the family moved to the Rosston school district, where she graduated from high school in 1944. Wilma married William Wesley Waugh, Jr. on September 8, 1945 when William was home on leave from the Army.
