Tom Edwin Catlin

November 7, 1951 – February 18, 2026

Tom Edwin Catlin was born November 7, 1951, in Alva, Oklahoma, to W.B. and Opal Catlin. He passed away February 18, 2026.

Tom graduated from Buffalo High School in 1970. He attended Northwest Oklahoma State University in Alva and earned his degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford in 1974.

On August 12, 1972, he married Jo Bowen. They built their life together in Harper County.

After college, Tom returned to the family farm, where working cattle and harvest were a family effort. Farming was not just work to him, it was a responsibility. He also worked for Harper County grading roads and was often requested by local residents to blade their roads.

He enjoyed time at the ballpark and rarely missed his children’s games. He umpired junior high, high school, and competitive baseball, valuing discipline, sportsmanship, and effort.

He was preceded in death by his parents, W.B. and Opal Catlin.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Catlin of the home; daughters Tomi Jo “T.J.” Davidson and husband Brandon of Allen, Texas, and Leslie Rae of Northlake, Texas; son Keith Catlin of Buffalo, Oklahoma; grandchildren Andrew Davidson and wife Sydney, Katie Davidson, Aaron Davidson, Brooks Barrick, Payden Barrick, and Sydney Loeser and husband Tylor; great grandchildren Evelyn, London, Sutton, Rocko, and Asher; and siblings Bob Catlin of Buffalo, Oklahoma, Ron Catlin of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Carol Reimann of Moore, Oklahoma.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM Friday February 20, 2026 at the High Point Cemetery, Buffalo, Oklahoma, with Br. Chase Rosado officiating.
