Samuel (Sammy) Joe Wilkinson the son of the Jay Wilkinson and Ruth Fay Hill, was born on September 7, 1965, Buffalo, Oklahoma. Sammy attended grade school in Laverne, Oklahoma, moved to McCammon, Idaho where he attended Marsh Valley Junior High. Sammy then returned to Laverne, Oklahoma, where he attended High School until the eleventh grade. In 1987 Sammy married Theresa Bump and to this union five children were born Christopher, Nick, Ashley, Samuel Jr., and Mandy. Sammy worked at the Buffalo Nursing Home as a housekeeper, then become a CNA at the Buffalo Nursing Home and later working at the Shattuck Nursing Home. Sammy also drove trucks for Unibridge in Woodward and Kindsvater Trucking in Dodge City, Kansas until his health began to fail. Sammy loved to camp, fish, race cars, drive trucks, and spending time with this grandkids. Sammy was loved by his family and so many other people, Sammy will be dearly missed. Sammy was preceded in death by his father Samuel Jay Wilkinson, mother Ruth Hill, and son Christopher. Sammy left his earthly home on December 23, 2014 in Woodward, Oklahoma. Sammy leaves as his survivors sons Samuel Wilkinson Jr., Nick Wilkinson, Ashley Pollard and husband Jason, Mandy Wilkinson, all of Woodward, Oklahoma; brothers, Thomas Mitchell of Laverne, Oklahoma, Donny Mitchell of Woodward, Oklahoma, Sam Wilkinson and wife Janice of Edmond, Oklahoma, 13 grandchildren, other family and friends.
