Rodney Eskew

BUFFALO, OK.

Rodney Dean Eskew was born November 1, 1964 to Clyde and Sue Eskew at Carnegie, Oklahoma.  Rodney attended school in Stillwater, Oklahoma, graduating from Stillwater High School with the class of 1983.  Rodney began working in the Restaurant business in Stillwater.   He worked in several restaurants in Tulsa as a chef and in kitchen management before moving to Woodward, Oklahoma.   Rodney was a ranch hand at the Rafter V Ranch for Dick and Marty Hamilton.  A bond of friendship was formed and never forgotten.  Rodney and Sharla were united in marriage on November 6, 2004 at the Rafter V Ranch.  They made their home in Buffalo, Oklahoma to raise their son Colton for many years.   Rodney quit the restaurant business to work in construction.  He worked as a project manager for two large construction companies Newco in Roswell, Georgia and MyCon in College Station, Texas.  Rodney enjoyed watching his son play football and going out to hunt, with his son.  Rodney was preceded in death by his father Clydean Eskew, and grandson Bentley Thompson.   Rodney left his earthly home on October 31, 2023.  Rodney is survived by his mother Sue and stepfather Kenneth Jackson, his wife Sharla, a son Colton & Fiancée Cydney Perkins, step daughters; Amie (Erwin) Waugh and Kendy and Shane Thompson, grandsons; Bryson & Trevor Waugh, brothers; Terry   wife Carolyn, Gary wife Tina, Kent wife Jenny, several uncles, aunts, nephews, and nieces, other family and friends.   Rodney will be missed by all of those who knew him.   

The family held a memorial service in Stillwater, Oklahoma on January 27, 2024.
