Robert (Bob) Allen Ketron, SR. was born on his parent’s family farm, ten miles southwest of Buffalo, Oklahoma on November 16, 1925.  Bob's parents were Martin Ray SR. and Gladys Hazel (Mobley) Ketron.  Bob was the second child out of 5 children.  Bob was drafted  his senior year of High School to serve in World War II from 1944 to 1946, when he was discharged Bob's rank was a Corporal.  Bob married Ruth Wise in 1948 and two children were born Virginia Christiana and Joyce Roberta.  Bob and Ruth ended their marriage in 1951.  Bob worked in a body shop for a short time, and as a plumber before going to work for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation in 1951 as a distributor truck operator.  Bob married Ruby Dean in 1954, and three children were born Ruby Alice, Robert Allen JR, and Linda Renee.  Bob received second and third degree burns on his back, arms, and the sides of his face when his truck blew 365 degree tar on him.  Because of this accident, Bob worked as a Field Mechanic for the last 25 years and retired in 1986.  Bob also owned and operated his own garage and worked on vehicles most of the rest of his life.  Bob received an honorary High School Diploma in 2001. Bob lived in Buffalo, Oklahoma all of his life except for the two years he went to serve his country.  Bob lived in the same house, the home was added onto, by Bob himself as the plumber and electrician.  Bob gave his heart to Christ and was baptized.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Buffalo, Oklahoma, serving on various committee for the church.  Bob was preceded in death by his parents; two Brothers, Henderson and Calvin; Daughter, Renee Ketron April 10, 1975; and two Great Grandson.  He went to be with his maker on April 7, 2016 at the age of 90 years, 4 months, and 22 days.  Bob is survived by his wife, Ruby Fae Ketron; Daughters, Virginia Christiana Hibbs and husband Junior of Wagoner, Oklahoma, Joyce Roberts Day of Buffalo, Oklahoma, Ruby Alice Blevins of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; Son, Robert Allen Ketron JR and Dorothy Fouquet of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Step Daughter, Rudeana Grace Brookshire of Elk City, Oklahoma; Brother, Martin Ray Ketron of Laverne, Oklahoma; Sister Margaret May Reeves of Moore Oklahoma; 12 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, 7 Great Great Grandchildren, a host of adopted step grandchildren, great grands, and great great grands; many other family and friends.
