Rev. Randel Thrasher was the pastor of Sure Foundation Fellowship, west of Buffalo, Oklahoma. Randel was born February 17, 1953.  He was a graduate of Buffalo High School, Oklahoma State University, and Rhema Bible Training College. Randel Thrasher and Sally Parker were united in marriage December 30, 1972 in Stigler, Oklahoma. With a double major in mathematics, he taught and coached in Kansas before entering the corporate field. A relationship with Jesus had always been a part of his life. At the age of eight, he felt a call from God to minister to others.  Upon graduating from Rhema, he felt impressed to return to his country roots and begin Sure Foundation Fellowship.
Randel was involved in many entrepreneurial ventures.  Randel had a computer business, as his parents grew older he took on their insurance business, cattle, and felt he was a country boy at heart. Randel was a member of the local ministerial alliances, Harper County Economic Development board, Rhema Alumni Association, and many other organizations. A highlight of this last year was serving as American Farmers and Ranchers Insurance Chaplain.
Randel said that nothing compares to seeing and walking in the grace of God.  Randel’s life was a representation to friends and family that exemplified the calling of God on his life and daily walking in the Word.  Randel passed away May 20, 2014.  Randel is preceded in death by his parents, Doris and G. Murl Thrasher of Rosston, Oklahoma.  He leaves behind a great legacy.
Still remaining of this legacy are his wife, Sally Thrasher of the home, son Gabriel Thrasher, his wife Sarah, and their three boys, Korban, Kohen, and Amos of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and daughter Abbagail Thrasher of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Randel’s sister is Melinda Daugherty of Moore Oklahoma.  In-laws are Wanda and Ernest Peters, Stigler, Oklahoma, Joyce and Hershel Parker, Prague, Oklahoma, Kathy and Euel Parker, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Phyllis and Kenn Brown, Purcell, Oklahoma, Glenda and Kenneth Whitehead, Kinta, Oklahoma; numerous other family and friends.
