Rev. Edward Stith

Reverend Edward Eugene “Gene” Stith passed away at home in Pilot Rock, Oregon on February 11, 2012. Gene was born November 23, 1934 in Enid, Oklahoma to Clarence and Helen Stith. He attended Oklahoma Baptist University and Southwestern Theological Seminary On June 2, 1955 Gene and Patricia Joan Malone were united in marriage.

Gene was pastor of First Baptist Church in Benbrook, Texas form 1956 until moving to Pendleton Oregon in 1969 where he was the pastor at Pendleton Baptist Church. Gene pastured Pilot Rock Baptist Church from 1980 until 2005. He was also a General Contractor Gene loved ministering to his community including volunteering to announce there Pilot Rock High School girls basketball games for over 20 years. Gene also enjoyed singing and sang with the Inland Coral for 3 years. Gene was preceded in death by parents a Brother Robert Alvin a nephew Steven Stith. Gene leaves as his survivors with Patricia his children Debra Stith & husband Chau Lee of California; J. Edward & Janice Stith of Maryland, Rita & Andrew Aria of Maryland, Julie & Beau Jordan of Arizona, Tricia & Jeff Bateman of Oregon, brothers Charles of New Mexico, and Jerry Stith of Buffalo, Oklahoma, 11 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
