Norma Mead

Norma Jean Mead was born on October 15, 1948 to Clyde and Billie Bernice (Hensley) Poindexter in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.  Norma attended school and began working in the healthcare field as a nurse.  Norma and Jerry Mead were united in marriage on January 23, 1985 in Abilene, Texas.  Norma raised three children Debbie, Alan, and Christina.  Norma worked in the nursing field as a CNA at various health care facilities in the area and was a loving care giver and friends to everyone that she met.  Norma spent time with her family, enjoyed working in her flower garden growing many kinds of flowers.  Norma also enjoyed time with her 8 grandchildren.  Norma was preceded in death by her parents;  Clyde P and Billy Bernice (Hensley) Poindexter, and brother; Clifford Poindexter.  Norma went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 23, 2019 at her home with her family be her side at the age of 70.  Norma is survived by her husband of the home Jerry Mead, Arnett, Oklahoma, brothers; Verlin and Wilburn Poindexter, sisters; Rossie Dillard, Janis Asbill, and Jewel Crone, children; Debbie Bilyeu of Cedarville, Arkansas, Alan Bilyeu of Shattuck, Oklahoma and Christina Blount of Shattuck, Oklahoma, grandchildren; Tyler Bilyeu and wife Helen of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Taylor Bilyeu of Portland, Oregon, Trever Bilyeu and wife Mikaela of Shattuck, Oklahoma, Roy Blount Jr. and Corbin Blount of Idaho, Minnie Miller and husband Ben of Dallas, Texas, Cassie Blount and Haylie Blount of Buffalo, Oklahoma, Great Grandchildren; Harper, Rowan, Kaden, Bryton, Kataya, Apryll, Ariani, and Kyler, Nieces and Nephews, other family and friends.  Norma will be missed by all family and friends.
