Neva Maureen (Campbell) was born in Portales, New Mexico on February 11, 1932 to Charles and Edith Campbell. Shortly after her birth the family moved to a farm near Boiling Springs State Park east of Woodward, Oklahoma. She attended the Rose Valley Country School through the eighth grade. She then attended Woodward High School graduating in 1950.
Neva met the love of her life, Donald J. Richardson, soon after graduation. They were married September 23, 1950 and recently celebrated their 60 th wedding anniversary.
Their daughter, Donna, was born the following year (1951) and their son, Ronnie, was born the year after that (1952). Their son, Jerry Mead, joined the family in 1967 at the age of 14. During her life Neva worked as a clerk at Cohlmia’s dry goods store, as a nurse aide at the Buffalo nursing home, and as a cook at the Buffalo High School.
Neva enjoyed helping her church, working in the nursery, teaching Sunday School, helping with vacation bible school and many other church activities.
Neva Richardson was preceeded in death by her parents Charles and Edith Campbell; her brothers, Charles, Vernon, Melvin, and Orville Campbell; and her son Ronald E. Richardson.
Neva is survived by her husband Don Richardson; daughter Donna Myers; son Jerry Mead and Wife Norma; grandson Jonathan Myers and wife Alicia; granddaughter Janel Hodge and Husband John; great grandson Ian Hodge; great-granddaughter Raychelle Holt; sister Ova Jean Siemens and brother David Campbell.
Neva passed away at the HCCH December 16, 2010. She will be greatly missed.
