Margaret M. Ketron Reeves

March 12, 1937 — December 27, 2025

Oklahoma City, OK

Margaret May Ketron was born in a blizzard on March 13, 1937, in Buffalo, OK, to Martin Ray Ketron and Gladys Mabel Mobley. Marge was the youngest of five children and the only daughter. She was called home shortly after midnight on December 27, 2025, in Oklahoma City, OK.

Marge graduated from Buffalo High School, Buffalo, Oklahoma with the class of 1955 and continued her education by attending Draughn School of Business in Oklahoma City. While working as a switchboard operator at the hospital in Fort Supply, Oklahoma, she met her future husband, WH “Bill” Reeves. Marge and Bill were married in Orange County, CA on May 26, 1957. The couple had three children: Clarence, April, and William. David, Bill’s son from a prior marriage, completed the family. After living in California for several years, the couple returned home to Buffalo. Bill supported the family several ways, including operating a service station and as the owner of a handyman service before attending school to learn computer programming.

After Bill completed training as a computer programmer in 1970, the family moved to Omaha, NE, later returning to the Oklahoma City area in early 1975, ultimately settling in Moore. Bill passed suddenly in October of 1984 at the age of 49. Marge returned to work to support her family and worked for many years at Truck-N-Trailer in Oklahoma City, ultimately retiring from Sysco Foods in 2002.

In 1990, Marge married Bert Tenney, and the couple made their home in Kihei, HI. She loved living there but missed her family and the couple returned to Moore in 1992. Their union ended a dozen years after their return to Oklahoma, although they remained closely connected for many years after that.

Marge had two passions: her family and scrapbooking. She absolutely loved family gatherings, where her affection for her family was on full display. Those moments were always fulfilling for her. She was very close to her 7 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, all of whom will miss her warmth and love. That love will never be gone; it will simply come from a different place. She would not want any of those she leaves behind to be sad when we think of her. She was also quite passionate about scrap booking and so many of us have been blessed by her creative energy. In every project, her love was at the center. She gave all of us the gift of memories, created as only she could.

The house in Moore that she purchased with Bill in 1979 will be empty without her presence. It has been a fixture for 46 years and every one of her family has a memory associated with the house. It wasn’t just a house; it was Grandma’s place. While she would not want any of her family to be sad, inevitably we will all experience that grief, each in our own way. It is never an easy task to capture the essence of one’s life in a few paragraphs. Even more difficult for someone that had such an impact on so many people. Margaret’s life was one well lived. She gave us all the most precious gift of all: the gift of her love and the many memories of experiencing it.

Marge’s passing was preceded by her parents, Martin (1973) and Gladys (1999). By her brothers, Henderson (1960), Calvin (1995), Bob (2016) and Martin (2020). She leaves behind her children David and wife Sheri, Clarence, April and William. 7 grandchildren: David Jr, Austin, Bailey, Starr, Misty, Johnathan and Michelle, 19 great grandchildren and two sisters in law, Wanita and Ruby as well as many nieces and nephews and many friends.

Our world was certainly a much better place with Marge in it. We are all thankful that her suffering has ended but just can’t imagine our lives without her. We all hope she knows just how loved she was and the impact she had on so many. Those of us who are left behind will celebrate her life for the rest of ours. May you rest in peace immersed in the light and love of the Father.
