Leo Keith Wilkinson

Leo Keith Wilkinson was the son of Virgil E "Buck" and Lillie (Prophet) Wilkinson.  Keith was born July 24, 1934 in Buffalo, Oklahoma.  Keith married Wilma Harris on March 31, 1953, in Arnett, Oklahoma, to this union three children were born Christina, Mickey, and Marvin.  After getting married, Keith attended the First Baptist Church, and accepted the Lord as his Savior.  Keith and Wilma were in the young people Sunday School and enjoyed attending adult activities.  While in high school, Keith worked after school at the Home Lumber for his Uncle Virgil. In the summers he helped Jr. Owens.  After high school, Keith went to work for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, until the summer of 1954 and he retired after 35 years.  After his dad passed away in 1956, Keith helped his mom raise his 11 year old brother Samuel Jay.  Keith was always close to his Prophet uncles and aunts.  They were a tremendous help to him and his mom.  Many of Keith's after hours of work was held at the local Pool Hall.  He played unlimited games of dominoes and cards with his buddies.  If he wasn't at the Pool Hall, you could find him on the golf course.  Keith was an avid golfer and helped build the Doby Springs Golf Course.  Many of our family and friends learned to play golf from him.  Once his kids and grandkids started playing sports for the Buffalo Bison, and was always there to cheer them on. His grandkids love looking at the videos and always had a fun time when they came to visit.  Keith served on many organization, such as the Buffalo Alumni Association, Buffalo Bison Boosters, and the Doby Spring Golf Course Association.  Keith was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, Hugh; brother, Samuel Jay; and special Prophet uncles and aunts. Keith left his earthly home on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the Harper County Community Hospital, at the age of 84 years.  Keith is survived by his wife Wilma of 66 years of the home; children, Christina Richard and husband Jim Bob, Mickey Wilkinson and wife Pam, Marvin Wilkinson and wife Jan all of Buffalo, Oklahoma; Grandchildren Matt Richard, Ben Richard and wife Kathryn, Jaime McVey and husband Jeremy, Sean Wilkinson and wife Crystal, Michelle Privette and husband Josh, Marisa Wilkinson, Thad Wilkinson, Jadin Wilkinson;  Great Grandchildren Rollin Richard, Jailee and Jasee McVey, Gavin, Jesalyn, and Porter Wilkinson, Carli and Ethan Privette, Austin, Issac, and Josh Stewart; bother, Rex Wilkinson; Aunt, Sheila Prophet, other family and friends.  Keith will be greatly missed by all friends and family.
