Ki Dean Maggard was born December 2, 1996 at Ft. Carson, Colorado, to Trent and Ginger (Abbey) Maggard. At the age of 14, Ki went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2011 as the result of an automobile accident just north of Haviland, Kansas. Ki grew up in many areas, including Haviland, Kansas, Buffalo, & Gage Oklahoma of which he called home His passion was skateboarding. Ki would also spend many weekends with his Papa Rodney Abbey going fishing, hunting or camping just being outdoors and playing with his Beagle dog Todd. Ki enjoyed people and cared about every one of his friends. Ki knew the Lord and couldn’t wait to be with him. He told his dad “I live my life full – throttle, I know where I am going and it’s a win-win situation for me. If I die I get to go see Jesus and wait for you, if I live I get to stay with you here a little longer. Ki and sister Kristyn would set or take long walks for hours, and play video games with his brother Kaleb and both would go skateboarding or wrestling. Ki loved to teasing and joking with his older sister Kaylee and was very proud to be an uncle. Ki would give his mother big bear hugs and just hold on. Ki the comedian would joke around and make everyone laugh all of the time. Pizza and green monster energy drinks was his favorite meal, and if there was any pizza left in the frig, “It was Ki’s “. He enjoyed life to the fullest and left no stone unturned, never met a stranger, for long, because they became friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Keith Maggard. Ki leaves as his survivors his parents Trent and Ginger Maggard, sisters Kaylee and Kristyn and his brother Kaleb all of Haviland, Kansas; Grandparents Rodney & Gail Abbey of Gage, Oklahoma; Rick & Julie Mclaughlin of Wagoner, Oklahoma; Grandmother Carol Maggard of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Aunts & Uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives. We all know Ki did not like sitting still for to long and would be saying “Is it time to go yet. I want to Skateboard!”
