Kathy Dianne Summars was born April 14, 1955 to Carroll and Darlene (Ashlock) Jones in Shattuck, Oklahoma. Kathy attended Buffalo High School and graduated with the Class of 1973, she went on to attend some college. Kathy and her mom owned and operated the Video Etc. store for several years. Doughnuts were also sold, this is where Kathy met Roger, on May 19, 1979, Kathy married Roger Summars at the First United Methodist Church, they made their home in Buffalo, Oklahoma, to this union there were three children Kalyn, Eric, and Nicole. Kathy began singing when she was a young child with the radio, later singing with the Jones Family, with her father, mother, aunts, and uncles. We all can remember the Jones Family singing at different events in the community. Kathy became the City of Buffalo Librarian for several years, helping with the fund raisers cooking and serving brisket. Kathy enjoyed reading to the children and planning activities. Kathy was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Buffalo, where she has worn many hats serving on committees, helping with special activities and dinners the church would host. Kathy latest activity was serving as the church Secretary. Kathy special music and choir presences will be missed. Kathy's had several roles in the community of Buffalo, she was involved in the Buffalo Community Theater where she played several roles over the years. Kathy's hobbies were singing, playing games, and attending the Grandkids activities. Kathy was preceded in death by her father Carroll Jones. Kathy went to be with her Lord and Savior suddenly January 6, 2022. Kathy leaves as her survivors husband, Roger Summars, of the home, Mother, Darlene Jones of Buffalo, Oklahoma, Brothers, Randy Jones and wife Grace of Aubrey, Texas; Terry Jones and wife Connie of Woodward, Oklahoma, Daughter, Kalyn Kyler and husband, Ross, grandchildren Addie, Haylee, and Kenzie of Ponca City, Son Eric Summars and wife Jessica, grandchildren, Masen, Paisley, and Piper of Buffalo, Oklahoma, Daughter Nicole Nichols and husband Dusty, grandson Ryder of Smithville, Oklahoma, family, nieces, nephews, and friends.
