Karen J Greenlee

Karen J. Greenlee, 68, of Woodward, Oklahoma, passed away on June 12, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Karen was born on March 17, 1958, in Carlsbad, New Mexico, to Max Greenlee and Beulah Plain. She was preceded in death by her parents, Max Greenlee and Beulah Plain; her stepmother, Cheryl Greenlee; and her stepfather, Jack Plain.

Karen graduated from Beaver High School in 1976. During her school years, she excelled in many activities and made lifelong friendships. She was an excellent drummer, loved playing basketball, and enjoyed spending time with her friends. Karen and her high school friends shared many adventures together and were known for occasionally finding themselves in a bit of mischief, creating stories and memories that would be remembered and laughed about for years to come.

While still in high school, Karen began working for Joe Hamilton, founder of the company now known as UniBridge. Her loyalty, dedication, and strong work ethic were unmatched, and she remained with UniBridge throughout her entire career, continuing to work there through the week of her passing. Her commitment to her work and the people she worked alongside was a testament to the kind of person she was. Through nearly five decades of service, she became a valued and respected member of the UniBridge family.

A woman of many talents, Karen grew up riding and breaking horses and developed a deep love for animals that remained with her throughout her life. She enjoyed fishing, found joy in artistic pursuits, and was an exceptionally skilled welder whose craftsmanship earned the admiration and respect of those who knew her. Raised with a strong sense of independence and self-reliance, she was also known as an excellent marksman. Whether she was creating something with her hands, spending time outdoors, caring for animals, or helping those she loved, Karen approached everything with determination, skill, and heart.

Above all else, Karen’s greatest love was her daughter, Shayla Greenlee. She would do anything for her daughter, and the bond they shared was the center of Karen’s life. Her love, support, and devotion were unwavering, and Shayla was her pride and joy.

Karen will be remembered for her kindness, strength, loyalty, and generous spirit. She was someone who could always be counted on to lend a helping hand, offer support, or simply be there when she was needed. She cared deeply for both people and animals and touched countless lives through her compassion, friendship, and steadfast nature.

She is survived by her daughter, Shayla Greenlee; her uncle, Raymond Greenlee; her stepbrothers, Mark Robison and Shawn Robison; her stepsister, Kim Pierce; as well as several beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will cherish her memory.

Karen leaves behind a legacy of hard work, compassion, resilience, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, coworkers, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Viewing will be held on June 19, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Wilkinson Funeral Services in Buffalo, Oklahoma.

A graveside service will be held on June 20, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at High Point Cemetery in Buffalo, Oklahoma, where Karen will be laid to rest.

Though her presence will be greatly missed, the memories she created, the lessons she taught, the laughter she shared, and the love she gave so freely will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her for years to come.
