Jim was born March 8th 1941, in a farmhouse located at Harmon, Oklahoma; to Arnold & Emma Morgan. Jim was the 7th sibling born out of what would become 13 in total. Jim spent his youth helping on the family farm running around with his Siblings and attended school at Arnette, Oklahoma.
Jim married June Byrum on May 29th 1959. They had his oldest daughter Jana on April 17th 1961 in Shattuck, Oklahoma.
Later Jim would marry the love of his life Patricia (Pat) Beck on March 30th 1965 in Woodward, Oklahoma. They lived in Buffalo, Oklahoma where they had their 2 daughters Debbie and Colleena. Jim enjoyed working for the town of Buffalo, he committed 34 1/2 years with 22 of those spent as the City Manager. Jim retired as the City Manager of Buffalo in 2003. Jim treasured spending his time with his siblings and family. His favorite times were outdoors. He enjoyed camping, fishing, going to car races, and in the earlier years riding motorcycles with a group of friends ( the Hal’s Angels). He also loved going on vacations and traveling. Jim was a Jack of all trades. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix or build. Jim was very fond of his pond in the backyard of his home where he fed his fish and frogs. He enjoyed going to Darren and Debbie’s Ranch where he fished, planted a large garden, and enjoyed hanging out with family. When he wasn’t traveling with Pat, he enjoyed going and supporting his granddaughters at their school and sporting events. Eventually with his family ever growing, he was proud to be there for his great-grandchildren’s many accomplishments as well. Jim took pride in his family and his work.
Jim enjoyed reading his bible and loved the Lord. He was extremely devoted in his faith.
While Jim was a lot of amazing things, he was also very ornery! He was known as a bit of a prankster. He loved practical jokes and everyone around him knew his sense of humor. He had a knack for lighting up the world around him.
He loved his family, and his community. He will be immeasurably missed.
Jim is survived by his wife Pat of the home, his daughters, Jana, her husband Chris, Debbie and her husband Darren, Colleena and her husband Dan, his youngest sibling Cork(Donald) and his wife Dee Morgan. He is survived by his grandchildren, Amber, Dayona, April, Laura, Eric, Morgan, and Blaise.
