James Joseph Bieber, 84, of Ashland, KS, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023 at Hill Top House in Bucklin, KS. James was born on November 30, 1938 in Fairfield County, Ohio to Harry (Carolyn) Bieber and Lily (Jim) Spires. He was a general contractor for over 60 years and worked on many construction projects all over the country. He enjoyed classic (real) country music, played the guitar, wrote and sang his own music. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed traveling with his family.
James is survived by his wife Ellen Bieber and his children Rory Bieber, Christina Bieber, Barbara Odermann, Wesley Bieber, Cynthia Kirmer (Lane Smalts), and Joseph (Jodi) Bieber; his 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; his siblings Daniel Bieber and Carolyn Martin as well as many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Robert Bieber, Harold Bieber, Wauneta Barnes, Jean Blair, Dorothy Reinschield, Marie Adams, Patricia Walker, and infant siblings, Walter, Grace and Clarence.
