Esther Jean Posusta was born on March 28, 1951 to Frank and Helen (Meitler) Posusta in Lucas, Kansas. Esther attended grade school at the Bethlehem Lutheran School in Sylvan Grove, Kansas. Esther enjoyed being outside especially with horses during her younger years. Esther graduated high school in 1969 at the Sylvan Unified High. Esther continued her education at the Beloit Vo-Tech in Business Eduction in 1970, where she met her husband Don White. Esther and Don were married December 5, 1970 and were able to celebrate their 50th anniversary with a virtual celebration. Esther and Don lived in Mankato, Kansas for 4 years before moving to Ashland, Kansas in January of 1975. Esther was a stay at home Mom until all of her children were in school. Esther enjoyed working in various positions in Ashland, to include, Clerk at Drug Store and Grocery Store, clerk at the County Treasurer Office, Sheriff Offices dispatcher, teller at Stockgrowers State Bank, Secretary at Godly Play and Cook and Baker for the Ashland School System. Esther enjoyed playing Bingo, Bunco, Cards, Marbles, and Bean Bag Games with friends and family. Esther was a Den Mother for Boy Scouts, a member of Couples Club and Woman's Club at the golf course, Firefighter and Fire Chiefs wife and Rec commission Slow Pitch Softball (catcher). Esther and Don loved their dancing and were very good. She enjoyed, bowling, gardening and raising flowers. Esther loved her cats and dogs. She enjoyed hosting several foreign exchange students. Esther was preceded in death by daughter, Karen; parents; parents in-laws; and two brother-in-laws. Esther left her earthly home on December 9, 2020 at the Ashland Long Term Care Unit. Esther is survived by her husband, Don White of Ashland, Kansas; children, Frank (Danielle) White of Ashland, Kansas, Jennifer (Steve) Ritchey of York, Pennsylvania; son-in-law, Jon (Mindy) Mages of Blackwell, Oklahoma; Grandchildren, Afton (Cacy) Wyatt, Andrew Mages, Tye White, Brennen White, Sean White, Ethan Ritchey, Logan Ritchey, Christian Brown, Griffin Brown, Lakely Mages; Great Grandson, Colton Wyatt; Sisters, Lorraine (Gary) Charles of Topeka, Kansas, Lois Swisher of Salina, Kansas, Jolene Janssen of Lucas, Kansas, Donna (Jerry) Carver of Holyrood, Kansas; Sister-in-law Caroline (Gene) Stolzenburg; numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends. The Family suggest memorial to the Hospice of the Prairie.
