Douglas James Thompson was born on November 15, 1955 to Vance & Betty Jo (Perkins) Thompson. Doug attended Buffalo Public Schools along with Jerry, Steve, and Ava, graduating with the Class of 1974. Doug attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University until he entered into the United States Navy on July 13, 1980 in Woodward, Oklahoma.  Doug served on the USS Will Rogers as a Sonar Technician on nuclear submarines for 6 years. Doug specialized in Submarine sonar systems maintenance technician for 1 year and 10 months.  Doug received 2 nd good conduct award and silver and gold stars.   Doug married Jay Carpenter on March 11, 1983 in South Carolina, to this union Stephanie was born in December 1985. Doug lived in Washington D.C. for a few months, then traveled to San Diego, California. Doug was discharged January 12, 1986. Cindy was born in 1990. Doug returned to his home town Buffalo, Oklahoma. On June 5, 1995 Doug and Pam Biffle were married.   Doug worked at the Oklahoma Department of Transportation Division #6 for 20 plus years before he retired. Doug worked for Planes and J.R. Transport until August 20, 2013 when he was diagnosed with stage 4 Glioblastona Cancer.  Doug enjoyed fishing, reading, camping, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his grandkids.  Doug was a member of the United Methodist Church in Buffalo, Oklahoma. On June 23, 2014, Doug went to be with his Lord and Savior. Doug was preceded in death by his father Vance Thompson, Father in law Charles Biffle, and other aunts and uncles. Doug leaves as his survivors his lovely wife Pam of the home; daughters Nicole Soliday and husband Jeff, Michelle Smith and husband Jerry, Stephanie Tellez and husband Manuel, Cindy Orr and husband Keith, son Jeff Thomas; Mother Betty Thompson; brothers Jerry Thompson and wife Kim, Steve Thompson and wife Deanna; sister Ava Jo Kenney and husband Jim; grandchildren Jaxon, Brycen, and Kylan Soliday, Landyn, Kale, and Lilly Smith, Sammantha Tellez; great grandchildren Colton;  five nephews and two nieces, other family and many many friends.
