DORIS ELAINE EDMONDS

Doris “Elaine” Edmonds, age 83 of Enid, OK, passed away late Sunday May 10, 2026, with her children present. Elaine was born at the Ashland Hospital in Ashland, Kansas, to Hale and Lois Torrance. She was one of four children and her siblings being Kay, Caroline, and Curt Torrance. Elaine graduated from Buffalo High School in 1960. She married Donald Edmonds of Buffalo, and they made their home in Enid, OK. They had three children, Gene, Jimmy, and Debbie.

Pastor Carl summed up Elaine the best, Elaine was a special lady, her love for the Lord and the church she served was very dear to her. Her family was a great source of joy. Elaine loved her trips to the Colorado Mountains, especially when the kids were growing up, or just going with her parents to the Colorado mountains,

Elaine was highly creative with, ceramics, China painting, crocheting, needle point all sorts of things, she loved to read, but she would never miss the weekly trips to the beauty shop to get her hair done. Through it all, she rarely missed something her grandchildren and great grandchildren were doing. She loved to go.

Elaine was preceded in death by her Husband Gene Edmond, Parents Hale & Lois Torrance, brother Curt.

Elaine is survived by her children Gene and wife Galin, Jimmy, Debbie and her husband Don. Elaine was one of four children and her siblings being Kay and husband Terrald Drew, Caroline and her husband Keith Waugh, and Kay Torrance. Grand Children, Meagan and Lee Rosen, Lindsey and Russ Buxbaum, Shannon Edmonds and Tim Smart, Eric Edmonds, Lauren and Jeryn LeBlanc. Great grandchildren are Tristan, Jordan, Sam, Oaklee, Will, Hazel, Luke, Eleanor, Ian, Peter, Kodi, Lois, Bowen, Blayden, and Boon.
