Clyde Jackson

Clyde Jackson was born in Mountain View, Oklahoma, February 1, 1937, to Clyde and Faye Jackson. Clyde went his entire school years in Mountain View and then studied industrial arts education at the University of Central Oklahoma. He taught more than 40 years at Buffalo schools.

Clyde married Lois Sexton on August 18, 1956, and they did most everything together for almost 70 years. He was very active at First Baptist serving as deacon, Sunday school teacher, maintenance man, and he loved mowing the church grounds. He also was a helper in the kitchen whenever needed.

He is survived by daughters Judy (Bruce) McIntyre of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Karen Girk of Protection, Kansas. Grandchildren include Tyson (Jessie) McIntyre, Garrett (Holly) McIntyre, Lindsey (Eric) Alley, Whitney (Luke) Scott, and Leslie (Ted) Busenitz.

Nineteen great-grandchildren include Makenna McIntyre, Caitlyn McIntyre, Isabella Scott, Brielle McIntyre, Audrey McIntyre, Josiah Scott, Parker Alley, Jackson Alley, Micah Scott, Adelaide McIntyre, Griffin Alley, Lucy Busenitz, Tristan McIntyre, Callie Busenitz, Claire Busenitz, Georgia Alley, Callum McIntyre, Sophie Busenitz, and Gavin McIntyre.

He is also survived by one sister, Jean Daniel, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Clyde was preceded in death by his wife, Lois, parents, brothers Earlin (Joyce), Bill (Joan), Kenny (Wynona), and Mickey, and a son-in-law, Nyle Girk.

Funeral service 2:00PM Saturday August 15, 2026 at the First Baptist Church, Buffalo, OK. Burial will follow at the High Point Cemetery.
