Chris J Rice SR.

Chris Jason Rice Sr. was born on February 12, 1962 in Cortland, New York to Robert and Wanda Rice and attended school in Homer, New York.

On January 31, 1981 Chris Rice Sr. and Christina Cole were united in marriage right here in Buffalo, Oklahoma and to that union 3 children were born: Kennth, Jonathon, and Chris Jr. with an additional son that he took in as his own and raised, William Gleason. The family moved around before settling in the small town of Buffalo, Oklahoma in 1992 to raise their beautiful family together. Chris worked for Doy and Craig Farmer and the Weder farm as a laborer and a farm hand before getting his job at Wal-Mart, where he worked for ten years before becoming sick. In Chris’s spare time besides spending time with his friends and family he also enjoyed hunting, fishing and found a passion in carpentry. He not only taught his own four boys how to hunt, fish and gun safety but he also instilled those passions in his grandchildren.

Chris went to be with the Lord on Saturday August 2, 2025 in his home surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 63. Chris was preceded in death by both of his parents, sister Roberta Crouch, brother-in-law Charles Crouch, sister-in-law Kathy Rice and grandson Garrett Rice.

He leaves as his survivors: his loving, caretaker, wife Christina Rice of the home, brother Clyde Rice of Virgil, New York; sons: Kennth and wife Casey Rice of Woodward, OK; Jonathan Rice and girlfriend Cheyenne Brown of Buffalo, OK; Chris Jr and wife Suzanna Rice of Fort Supply, OK; and bonus son William and wife Miranda Gleason of Medicine Lodge, Ks. Fifteen grandchildren: Chance Rice, Kaden Rice, Corben Rice, Drake Rice, Addielynn Rice, Natalie Rice, Miguel Rice, Antonnio Rice, Joseph Rice, Timberly and husband Jacob Pust, Zoey Gleason, Laylah Gleason, Bristol Gleason, Danica Gleason, and Haley Gleason. One great grandson Owen Pust and one great granddaughter Kaiyah Bailee Rice.

Not to mention all of the cousins, nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends that hold Chris close to their heart.

Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday August 6, 2025 at the High Point Cemetery, Buffalo
