Charlotte Hamlin, age 91, passed away peacefully in her home on the morning of December  30,  2017.  She came into this world during a blizzard on December 18, 1926, in her family home four miles south of Fort Supply, Oklahoma.  She began grade school in May, Oklahoma, and in 4th grade her family moved to Laverne, Oklahoma, where she graduated from high school in 1945.  After graduation Charlotte moved to Woodward, Oklahoma, to attend college  and began working full time as a dental assistant.  On a blind date arranged by her future sister-in-law she met Bill, the only guy for her.  They were married July 20, 1947.  It was then Charlotte and Bill settled on "the hill" west of Buffalo, and it was there that she spent the remainder of her days.

Charlotte brought love and warmth wherever she went whether it was teaching Sunday school, delivering church bulletins or preparing for the holidays.  She devoted her life to nurturing those around her.  She was a talented florist and enjoyed working in the Buffalo Flower Shop and designing Memorial Day arrangements for family and friends.  She also was the bookkeeper for the Deep Rock station she helped run with her husband Bill.   Charlotte  was always up for a game of pitch, enjoyed her walks, embroidering, and a good book.  She was a proud and devoted member of the United Methodist Church in Buffalo for 63 years.

Charlotte is preceded in death by her husband Bill Hamlin; parents Earl and Dollie Alley; brother Toby Alley; and sister Katherine Alley McNaughton.

She is survived by her children Robert and Debra Hamlin of Buffalo; Rogene Hamlin of Oklahoma City; and Beth and Gary Ledoux of Amarillo, Texas; her grandchildren Sean Hamlin of Edmond; Reagan Hamlin and Jason Cabioc of OKC; Stevie Ledoux of Amarillo, Texas; Cydney and Jed Blevins of Garden City, Kansas; Joe and Farrel Ledoux of Amarillo; Keevin Ledoux of Amarillo; nine great grandchildren; sister-in-law Earlene Alley; her brother-in-law Jim Hamlin and wife Gordy; her brother-in-law Sam and wife Marva; numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
