Visitation or saying our goodbye’s for our mother with family and friends

Wilkinson Funeral Service Buffalo, OK.

Carolyn Elaine Lone Hinnant was born in Laverne, Oklahoma to Raymond “Leroy” and Leetha (Hurt) Long. Carolyn and her siblings grew up in in Laverne, Oklahoma where she attended the Laverne High School. Caroyln and Jerry Hinnant were united in marriage on July 29, 1963, they had two sons Jay and Leroy. They lived in various towns throughout Oklahoma and other states. Carolyn had various jobs before she acquired her CNA nursing certification. They returned to Buffalo, Oklahoma approximately in 2012. Carolyn worked for Love’s gas Station for the last 13 years. Carolyn enjoyed visiting with family, playing with her grandkids, crocheted many Afghans, and enjoyed meeting /talking to people, she rarely met a stranger that didn’t end up being a friend. Carolyn always had a smile on her face. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerry, her son Leroy, her siblings Judith Walker, Carl Long, Clarence Long and Clifford Long. Carolyn passed away peacefully at the Newman Memorial Hospital of Shattuck, Oklahoma after nearly a two-month stay, on June 17, 2026.Those left to cherish her memory are her son Jay Hinnant, brother Cecil Long, sister Beth her close friends/family Heather and Brandon, and her Grandkids, Jaylyn, Raleigh, Linnie and Koda. She will be remembered by many friends and customers.

Visitation will be held at Wilkinson Funeral Service Buffalo, Oklahoma, Saturday June 20th from 2:00PM – 3:00PM.                            Carolyn’s request that there will not be any services.
