Robert (Bob) Wayne Catlin of Buffalo, Oklahoma, went to his heavenly home peacefully while surrounded by his daughters and family at his home on May 23, 2026, at the age of 76 years, 3 months, and 5 days. Bob was born on February 18, 1950, in Alva, Oklahoma, to Wayne Burnell (W.B.) Catlin and Opal Caroline (Peck) Catlin. He enjoyed hunting, baseball, guns, history, and operating any heavy equipment you threw at him. Bob met his high school sweetheart, Teresa Marie Aitken, while attending Buffalo public schools. Upon graduation, they both went on to attend Northwestern Oklahoma State University where Bob pursued a degree in history with a minor in English Language Arts. After college, Bob married his high school sweetheart. They decided to move back to Buffalo, Oklahoma to start their family. In 1976, they welcomed their first of four daughters. Bob worked diligently throughout his life wearing multiple hats. He spent time working with his family on the farm, driving trucks alongside his longtime friend with Page Trucking Company. He worked as a mechanic for Duble Ford, at the Soil Conservation Service, and as a heavy equipment operator for Harper County District 3 before dedicating 32 years to his profession as a heavy equipment operator for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. After retirement, Bob continued to share his expertise as an instructor at ODOT, shaping the next generation of operators. In his later years, Bob was affectionately known as “The Donut Man” for bringing joy to his friends and loved ones with his delicious treats. Bob never knew a stranger and valued his friendships. Bob is survived by his daughters, Susan Marie Seevers (Dennis) of Alva, Oklahoma; Jennifer Dawn Bridenstine (Clint) of Summerdale, Alabama; Amy Caroline Pemberton (Jay) of Buffalo, Oklahoma; and Rebecca Ann Crouch (Brian) of Ashland, Kansas; his grandchildren, Natalie Nichols (Josh), Allison Hiel (Jack), Riley Seevers, Matthew Seevers, Carson Bridenstine, Jillian Day (Torry), Jesse Dalton Bridenstine, Jackson Bridenstine, Jaci Bridenstine, Taylee Pemberton, Tayzlynn Pemberton, Kimberly Crouch, Madison Crouch, Brandon Crouch, Gabriel Crouch, and Xander Crouch; great-grandchildren, Olivia Seevers, Savannah Nichols, Jasper Nichols, Elliott Hiel, and Everett Reiney; his sister, Carol Reimann (Art) of Moore, Oklahoma; and his brother, Ron Catlin (Lea) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; along with numerous beloved nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
